Classroom Constitution

Classroom Constitution

The students wrote our very own classroom constitution!

Classroom Constitution
We the students of Mrs. Johnson’s class, in order to form a more perfect Learning Environment, establish Justice, insure Classroom Tranquility, do ordain and establish this Constitution for Rocklin Elementary School - Room 22.

We have the right…

  • to be respected while talking and to be a good listener
  • to have our property respected
  • to participate during lessons by staying on task
  • to pay attention to our own work or participate with our teams when appropriate
  • to communicate our ideas in a positive way
  • to a clean classroom and organized supplies
  • to make mistakes and learn from them
  • to seek help when needed
  • to be in a classroom where students follow “The Golden Rule”
  • to never give up in trying to achieve our goals
  • to show our PAWS!

Behavior Plan

Behavior Plan

My behavior plan can be summed up in one word: proactive. I make sure that the students know what is expected of them and encourage them to support one another to stay focused and on task. The students are grouped into teams and earn rewards for participation. Additionally, students have the opportunity to earn "tickets" and rewards in a variety of ways. I love the way students take ownership of their behavior and support one another through teamwork.

Behavior Plan

1st disruption - Verbal warning

2nd disruption - Verbal warning

3rd disruption - Refocus Form.  The student is sent to another classroom to reflect and write about their behavior. They return when ready to participate in a positive manner.

4th disruption - School Citation and a written statement of behavior to be brought home and signed by a parent.  Additionally, students will miss out on a privilege (ex: Fun Friday)
